Dawn of a century

100 years later, on St. Bridget's Day, Bridgeteens both young and old will listen to the echoing of these familiar words:

"Today is a red letter day in our school calendar for it marks the day on which we remember the founders of our school and her patroness St. Bridget, with affection and gratitude. It is a day on which we proudly proclaim that to be a Bridgeteen is to be someone special. To be disciplined, loyal and responsible where ever one is and to demonstrate the school motto that one has been gently but firmly put on the correct path of life.

Our school is 100 years old today and has produced many loyal and illustrious citizens who hold eminent posts in the fields of politics, medicine, science and the arts. Therefore St. Bridget's day is an occasion on which Bridgeteens both past and present get together to witness an external manifestation of loyalty and devotion Bridgeteens have for their Alma Mater..."

Words of pride, that ring true of a dream realised...a victory achieved. Words not spoken in vain.
